Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is an independent state in the Caribbean Sea, part of the Commonwealth of Nations. The territory consists of the Saint Vincent Island and the 32 small Islands of the Grenadines group (in the small Antilles archipelago). The main island is considered to be Saint Vincent. A volcanic mountain landscape with waterfalls suddenly changes with green plantations of bananas and coconuts. The luxurious beaches of the west coast complement the paradise experience. No wonder the Indians used to call this Island as Blessed. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is more suitable for a quiet, measured and secluded holiday, but it does not mean that there is nothing to do here. There are a lot of options for an active rest. Divers from around the world come here to see the magnificent coral reefs and for the diving beginners there are some special schools. Windsurfing and yachting are also very popular.You will get a great experience walking to the top of a local volcano, swimming in waterfalls, visiting one of the world's oldest Botanical gardens or swimming with dolphins. Many people try to plan a trip to St. Vincent at the beginning of July. This is the time of the famous carnival that takes place here with costume parades, music and dance processions.
