Tahiti

Tahiti is the largest island in French Polynesia. The landscape of the island is very diverse, so the trip around it will amaze you. Tahiti is a beautiful nature, spectacular waterfalls, and an incredibly rich underwater world. It was the natural scenery of Tahiti that inspired Paul Gauguin throughout the 12 years that the great french artist lived here. Now the island has a Museum of Gauguin with a collection of his personal belongings and reproductions of the most famous paintings. However, it is worth to go to Papeete, the capital of Tahiti, not only because of this museum. Here you can find the pearl museum, the museum of Tahiti and its Islands, as well as many restaurants, shops and markets with nice souvenirs.
