French Polynesia

French Polynesia is an overseas community of France, located in the center of the South Pacific Ocean and consisting of volcanic and coral origin's Islands. Volcanic Islands are mountainous and have rivers, lakes, rich flora and fauna. Coral atolls usually rise only a few meters above the ocean level, and there is less vegetation, but nature is good in its own way. Here you can observe «green ray effect» that is a unique optical illusion, when at the sunset time the sun's ray is refracted in the atmosphere in such a strange way that for a short time it takes on an emerald tone.
