Yellowstone

Yellowstone National Park is the world's first National Park and the largest reserve, founded in 1872. Yellowstone is famous, first of all, for its thermal springs, geysers and high - altitude Yellowstone lake, which was formed in a giant Caldera - a sunken crater of an ancient volcano. Yellowstone is also a wonderfully beautiful landscape: forested mountains, clear lakes and fast rivers. The Park also has its own canyons, which are as picturesque as the Grand Canyon. Here you can find grizzly and bears, wolves, elk, deer, cougars and, of course, american bison. Like all National Parks, Yellowstone is always open to visitors: luxury hotels, restaurants, museums, and about 2,000 kilometers of marked and equipped hiking trails. The best time to visit Yellowstone is summer and early fall.
