Barbados

Barbados is one of the most developed and rich countries in the Caribbean region, also it is a former colony of Great Britain, where all the British traditions are still carefully preserved, from the famous «Five o'clock tea» to the love of golf, horses, sailing, polo and cricket. That's why Barbados is often called «Small England». The island itself is very picturesque and attracts with a variety of landscapes and beautiful beaches. Its East coast is washed by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and is popular for those who like to catch the wave, while the West coast is washed by the Caribbean Sea and is perfect for a beach holiday with its five-star hotels, magnificent beaches with perfectly white sand, turquoise waters, a rich underwater world and a lot of palm groves along the coastline. Bridgetown is a pretty colonial city and the capital of Barbados, with many shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. In addition to Bridgetown, you can visit several other tourist towns, as well as to visit rum factories, a magnificent Botanical garden and protected jungles, national parks and even cave systems with underground rivers. Also there are several interesting historical buildings and places associated with the history of the discovery of the New World, colonization and pirate legends.
