Apulia is the easternmost region of Italy, washed by the Adriatic and Ionian seas. It has the longest coastline on the Italian coast.
Puglia has the first place among the regions of Italy in winemaking, as well as in the collection of olives and the production of olive oil.
The capital is the city of Bari. It is definitely worth to go there to see the old town with many churches.
Also worth to have a look look at the miniature town of Alberobello, which is under UNESCO protection, to see Trulli which are traditional snow-white houses, similar to dwarf dwellings. The city has about one and a half thousand Trulli with cone-shaped roofs, many of which date back to the 14th century.
