Saint Lucia

Saint Lucia is a country located on the Island of the same name in the Caribbean Sea, which was discovered by Christopher Columbus on December 13, 1502, on Saint Lucia's day. Despite the fact that the island has been a part of the British Commonwealth since 1803, here you will find the touch of French influence in almost everything: in the island's cuisine, in traditions and holidays, in architecture. This is due to the fact that most of the island's history is the history of the confrontation between England and France: Saint Lucia passed from one state to another 14 times. The volcanic origin of the Island, along with the climate, has led to its geographical diversity. The coast of the Island is very rugged, there are many gulfs and bays, small reefs, more than 400 species of flora and fauna, including magic orchids, palm trees, all sorts of shrubs and exotic flowers. They cover riverbeds, mountain slopes and valleys with a dense carpet, forming a fantastic landscape that simply takes your breath away.
