Courchevel

The Courchevel ski area needs no introduction. Russian oligarchs, movie and show business stars, permanent heroes of glossy magazines’ gossip columns made this place in the French Alps as a centre of the Russian party.

The resort is divided into four areas: La Praz Village 1300 m, Courchevel 1550 m, Courchevel 1650 m, and Courchevel 1850, m. Each area provides the trails of different complexity levels. The best five-star hotels, well-groomed slopes, numerous boutiques and fine dining restaurants (over 65 ones) attract to Courchevel the richest people from around the world. The French even invented the saying: «If you have been to Courchevel, you became a star.» There are plenty of various entertainments for tourists here. You can hire an instructor or guide on virgin slopes, hike in the mountains on snow-rackets, paraglide, to make airplane or hot air balloon flights. The resort features «Forum» sports complex that has a skating rink, bowling, squash, ice karting and a fitness center. The ski season lasts from late November to early may.
